At Conservation Media, we believe that the production of conservation-based media should not come with a significant conservation cost! We strive for carbon neutral productions that utilize solar, biodiesel, and ultra-high efficiency field vehicles.
We’ve just purchased a 1996 Daihatsu Deck Van because we believe this is the perfect field production vehicle for us. It pushes 40mpg, yet it’s 4WD and has a 3″ lift kit installed. Being small and ultra-light, while still rugged, allows us to get where the stories are without leaving a huge footprint.
By summer of next year, we hope to replace the deckvan’s gasoline engine with a 3cyl diesel engine and install a tank in the bed for used veggie oil. We will then have arrived at Green Field Production Bliss.
