Two Merit Awards for Conservation Message from IWFF!

Conservation Media is pleased to announce that we have picked up two, count ‘em, two Merit Awards from the 34th Annual International Wildlife Film Festival in Missoula, AND two Finalist Designations! There may be more Official Selections to come!

Our film Crossroads, embedded below, picked up a Merit Award for Conservation Message and a Merit Award for Made in Montana film, the home of the long-running, prestigious film festival.

This is a short web film produced for Montana Audubon addressing the impact oil & gas development has on sage grouse, a species recently warranted by the USFWS as worthy of protection under the Endangered Species Act. This film includes interviews with David Sibley, Dave Naugle, and Amy Cilimburg.

Audubon flying me to DC

Just received news that National Audubon is paying to bring to me DC in mid-October for a training in global climate change and it’s impact on birds. I will then meet with Montana’s two senators and our representative. I’m certainly looking forward to this, and I’ll blog about the daily events.
